BROCK - Thomas "Tom" Bryant, 74, passed away Friday, June 9, 2000, at his home
in Brock, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral: 4 p.m. Saturday at Cotten-Bratton Funeral Home in Weatherford.
Tom Bryant was born Aug. 9, 1925, in Hood County. He lived most of his life in
Parker County and had lived in the Brock area since 1951. He owned his own
fertilizer business for a number of years. Tom spent three years in the Army and
served during World War II, spending six months in the Philippines. He was an
avid gardner, and took a lot of pride in his gardening. Annually, his garden
produced a wide variety of vegetables, which he gladly shared with neighbors,
family and friends.
Survivors: Wife of 53 years, Yvonne Bryant of Brock; daughter, Sue Turner and
her husband, Sam, of Breckenridge; sisters, Effie Mae Basham and Joyce Murphy;
granddaughter, Tracey Turner of Weatherford; grandson, Brad Turner and his wife,
Evella, of Lipan; and great-grandson, Cole Turner, of Lipan; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
