Stephens County Native Buried in Ranger
Miss Altha Mae Dooley, 63, of Ranger, died Monday in Ranger General Hospital at
7:40 a.m. following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Rusk and Mesquite Church of Christ
with Gary Adams, minister from Cisco, and Norman Westergard officiating. Burial
was in the Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Killingsworth Funeral Home.
She was born July 5, 1906 at Acker Community in Stephens County and lived there
until she moved to Ranger in 1941.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Mary Dooley of Ranger and one brother,
Charles R. Dooley of Abilene; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Frances Dooley of Ranger who
is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Briden of Breckenridge.
