She was baptized near Brenham, Tex., and at the age of ten years she came to Nebraska with her parents. They settled near Martell, where she lived all her life. At the age of 14 she was confirmed at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church near Princeton. She was married to Carl H. Brandt on Jan. 25, 1917. He preceded her in death three years ago. To this union were born two sons, Vernon and Lester, both of Martell, and two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Clause and Mrs. Velma Fraas. She is also survived by three grandsons; her mother, Mrs. Grage; five brothers, Henry and Fred, both of Roca, Herman and William, both of Lincoln, and Elmer of Hallam; four sisters, Lena and Minnie, both at home, Mrs. Bertha Ludwig, Avoca, and Mrs. Dora Krueger, Roca. Funeral services were held July 11 at the Martell church, with Rev. G. E. Wick officiating. Burial was in the Centerville cemetery.
