Brenham, Tex., Aug. 22.--Major W. H. VINSON died at 2:30 P.m. yesterday at his residence in the southern part 
of the city. Major VINSON was a native of Tennessee, but has been a resident of Washington county for more than 
forty years. The members of the bar met at 10 o'clock this morning and passed appropriate resolutions of respect in 
commemoration of the pure and blameless life of the deceased brother. They also attended in a body his funeral, 
which took place at 5 o'clock this afternoon.
