While going home Monday afternoon, Mr. Peter Nelson's team ran away, and while they were going at full speed, Mr. Nelson was thrown out onto the frozen ground. Fortunately, he was so well wrapped up in heavy comforters, that he escaped without injury.

While out hunting on the 5th inst., Eugene Elliott of Excelsior, met with quite a painful accident: He had discharged one barrel of his gun, and was reloading when the charge in the other barrel went off, tearing his hands badly. Dr. J.C. Wright was called and amputated two fingers, and thinks that perhaps another finger will have to come off. The wounds are doing well.
