Women's Federated Clubs Will meet at the library club rooms, Thursday, January 13th, at 2:30. PROGRAMME Music-The Misses Kirkpatrick Paper-Woman and the Municipality- Mrs. P. L. Shores, who spent the holidays with relatives at Brodhead, returned home last week. G. W. Elliott returned to Madison last Tuesday. Robert Richardson, of Blue River, transacted business here Friday. Bert Persinger has moved in to the David Clark house for a short time. A social dance was given at B. J. Elliott's home Friday night. All present seemed to have a good time. Amy Wannamaker is spending a three weeks' vacation at her home near Boscobel. School begins Monday. L. R. Beebe has purchased a farm in the northern part of the state and expects to move there in the near future. Thos. Haney Sr., Thos. Haney Jr., and Cleve Haney are employed at Gotham hauling lumber. A. C. Elliott, of Grant County, has been calling on friends and relatives the past week. Mrs. Wm. Shores is visiting at Brodhead with her parents. B. J. Bird and Jim Elliott were in Blue River Saturday. Mr.and Mrs. Lee Jones were shopping in Blue River Saturday. A social hop is to be given at B. J. Elliott's January 14th. F. E. Carver looked after business at Byrd's Creek Monday. Clara, Herman and Gussie Wanek were the guests of A. W. Clark and wife at Spring Green last week. -John Gibson, of Akan, made this office a call Tuesday. -The men's club of the Methodist church will hold their January meeting in the church parlors Friday evening next. Supper will be served at 6:30 and will be followed by an address by Prof. E. G. Doudna on, "The Widening Sphere of the Public School." All men are cordially invited. |
