PLEASANT HILL
      A party was given at the home of Anton Stadle last Friday night. A fine time was enjoyed by all.
      Nona Packard spent the latter part of the week at the home of her friend, Bessie Storma.
      A church meeting was held Tuesday afternoon at the church.
      Fern Harvey spent Saturday last at Richland Center.
      Mrs. George Howland spent Tuesday last at the home of her parents.
      Frank Howland is employed at Torlief Koller's.
      Gertrude and Marie Matthews spent Saturday and Sunday at their home.
      Mrs. George Bailey is slowly improving.
      Andrew Lewis has returned from the north.
      Several people from here attended a party at Archie Richardson's Saturday evening last.
      People from here are attending Booster week at Muscoda.

JIMTOWN
      Nearly all of the farmers of this vicinity who had tobacco have it all stripped and ready for market.
      H.M. Burns hauled a load of goods for the Jimtown merchant last Friday.
      The basket supper and dance at John Beagley's last Wednesday night was well attended and a good time enjoyed by all. The proceeds were $15.80.
      Marion Bailey is employed at H. O. Bailey's.
      Jesse Jones was a caller at the Ferguson school Friday last.
      Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Burns, Mr. and Mrs. Ealm Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. Will Bailey made a trip to Richland Center Friday last.
      There will be preaching services at Harmony Saturday night and Sunday morning at eleven o'clock and at Pleasant Ridge Sunday evening.
      Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Burns visited at Tom Fosnow's on West Fork, last Saturday and Sunday.

PORT ANDREW
      Mrs. O. Peckham, of Rockford, Ill., visited Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ritchie recently.
      Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Beebe transacted business at Boscobel last week.
      Mrs. Grant Updike was in Boscobel Wednesday.
      Mrs. John Howard, of Blue River, visited with her mother here a couple of days last week.
      Bird Elliott was in Boscobel Saturday.
      Mrs. L. R. Beebe was in Boscobel Wednesday having some dental work done.
      Buford Troxel was a caller at the Elliott home in Blue River Sunday.
      Cleve Haney came home from Gotham Thursday for a few days' stay.
      Thos. Haney Sr. and Thos. Haney Jr. were home from their work at Gotham over Sunday.
      Miss Hamilton, of Boscobel, was a caller here Friday.
      A party was given at Mrs. Thomas Haney's Friday night.
      P Persinger and wife visited a few days last week at Soldier's Grove.
      Mr. and Mrs. Jason Haney, of West Fork, were callers at the Thos. Haney home last week.
      Wm. and B. J. Elliott were in Blue River Saturday.
      Mrs. John Kellog was a caller in Blue River Saturday.
      Mrs. Wm. Elliott visited her mother in Blue River Thursday.
      T. C. Wallace and Wm. Ritchie attended an Odd Fellows supper at Blue River Friday night.

      Rev. Smelcer and wife, who attended the funeral of the latter's father, Mr. Featherstone at Ironton Wednesday, spent the remainder of the week with their daughter, Mrs. William Johnson, of this place.
      Fred Johnson is employed at Beloit.
      Miss Mate Frye, of Cazenovia, is visiting friends in Smith Hollow.
