SUDDEN DEATH

   Mrs. Esther Fickes, mother of Mrs. Joseph Ferguson of this village, died at her home near Fairchild, in this state, on the 18th inst, aged 85 years. It is thought that her death was occasioned by overjoy at receiving a visit from her daughters, Mrs. Furguson and Mrs. Ringer, of Vernon county, whom she had not seen in fifteen years. They arrived there a few days previous to her death and found her in her usual health. The excitement was too much for her enfeebled and aged condition, and she was strickened with paralysis, and remained in an unconscious condition till her death.
