Death of Miss Emma Starkey.

Miss Emma Starkey, who lived with her parents two miles south of this village, died on Friday last. Miss Starkey gave promise of an unusually successful life until stricken with quick consumption a few months ago from exposure, it is believed, while teaching school. She was about twenty-two years of age, and a very estimable young lady who was well liked in the society in which she moved. Her remains were interred in the Pine river church cemetery on Sunday last, and the funeral was very largely attended. The parents and friends have sincere sympathy of the community in their deep affliction.
