I am not sure of the parish, but am trying to take a shot in the dark. I am looking for information on James CRAWFORD (born late 1700's). Thought to have been killed in the war of 1812. Believed to have been married to Susannah SPINKS, daughter of John and Sarah BAKER Spinks. They had five children. The names of only two or three are know. Those children are Robert H. CRAWFORD, Rebeccah CRAWFORD Dickens, and perhaps a James C. CRAWFORD. I have been looking for this information for about three years now and seem to have hit a roadblock. If you have any information, I would love to have it. Thanks.

Gregg LewisMon Jun 23 16:25:11 1997
Hi, my name is Gregg LEWIS, and I am searching for information on my great-grandmother and her parents. Her name was Lucy Ellen ALLEN and she was born July 27, 1905 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Her parents were Mary Jane BATTIEST or BAPTISTE and Newman ALLEN. She always said she was Choctaw (and her family tried to enroll with the Choctaw Nation), but given here origins and her particular dialectual differences, we believe she may have been Coushatta. She had three brothers, Jim, Henry, and Lonnie, and one sister, Lizzie. Apparently, after her father died, she and her remaining family removed to Oklahoma, and her mother later married a Choctaw by the name of Moses LEFLORE (LeFlore). If anyone has any info. on my great-grandmother or her parents, please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated. Yakoke!! (Thank you!!)
