History By Anthony Guillory

Kings Farm Community is 6 miles southwest of Kinder. It's known mainly for rice farming. The name derives from the original locating of the Kings Corporation Farm about 75 years ago. In the early 1900's, King Corporation cut timber and local settlers were hired to clear the land. Many later became Share-croppers for King Corporation. The first church was a Catholic Church, located near the King Corporation Farm. That church edifice was later moved from Kings Farm some years ago into a neighboring community.
