1892 Biography - J. F. Wilson

J. F. Wilson, a member of the firm of Gang, Reddy & Co., wholesale and retail grocers, Baton Rouge, was born in that city in 1863, and is a son of Prof. R. D. and Mary (Garig) Wilson. He received a good, practical education in the common schools, and then entered the employ of the firm of which he has since become a member. He served as a clerk, and by close and faithful attention to his business and devotion to the interests of his employers, he soon won their entire confidence. Recognizing his ability and worth he was invited to become a member of the firm by the senior members. This was an honor which he did not fail to appreciate, and since his closer connection with the business he has not given any cause for regret to his associates. He is a man of quiet, unassuming manners, genial and courteous of disposition, and numbers his friends by the host.
