The Relationship Between 

the Three Wing Families

 of Morrill, Maine

The purpose of this document is to show the relationships between the three (3) Wing Families listed in the “History and Genealogy of the Town of Morrill, Maine” by Robinson, Morse, and White:  Wing Family No. 1 - The Bradford Wing, Ansel Wing, family, Wing Family No.2 - The John N. Wing family, and Wing Family No.3 - The Charles L. Wing family.  These families were in the Morrill, Maine area in the mid-1800’s.  At the time of publication of this book there was insufficient information available to the authors to do more than surmise any relationships.   

The simple answer is that they are all related.

 Bradford and John N. Wing are both descended from the same great-great-great-great-grandparents: John Wing(e) (Wynge) and Deborah Bachiler.  They are descended from different sons of these parents – Bradford is descended from Stephen Wing(e) and John N. is descended from Daniel Wing(e).

Two of Bradford’s children were Ansel O. Wing and James Hale Wing.  Ansel O. Wing married Nancy Pearson and had a daughter Orissa A. Wing.  James Hale Wing married Rosetta Smart and they had a son Charles L. Wing.  Charles L. and Orissa A. Wing, first cousins, married.
