Bobby Ray Floyd, Sr.

Mr. Bobby Ray Floyd Sr., 64, of Carrollton, died of cancer Aug. 5, 2001 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. He was a retired merchant, working at Floyd's Electrical and Plumbing.

He was born in Carroll County and resided in the Greenwood area most of his life. He was the retired owner of Floyd's Electrical and Plumbing in Greenwood. He was a member of New Shiloh Baptist Church.

Graveside services were held Aug. 7 at New Shiloh Cemetery in Carroll County with Rev. Luther Lindsey officiating, Rev. Jeff Floyd officiating.

Mr. Floyd is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julene Barrentine Floyd of Carrollton; two daughters, Flonnie Adell Floyd, Wanda Kay Gibbs, both of Carrollton; three sons, Michael T. Chesteen of Moss Point, Bobby Ray Floyd Jr. of Greenwood, James Robert Floyd of Carrollton; three brothers, Arthur Floyd, Charles Floyd, both of Greenwood, Marvin Floyd of Dover, Tenn.; one sister, Judy Rutledge of Philadelphia; nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Mark Jennings, Kenny Walls, Gwin Rayburn, Sid Peacock, Walter Beam and Calvin Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers were Russell Jones, George Jennings and Arnold Vest.

Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood was in charge of the arrangements.
