Services for Robbie Nolan Meriwether, 90, of
Greenwood, who died of cancer Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001,
at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Friday
at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home.
Mrs. Meriwether was a homemaker. She was a member of
North Carrollton United Methodist Church and she
attended St. John's United Methodist Church in
Greenwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude
Meriwether.
She is survived by a son, Albert Meriwether of
Carrollton; a daughter, Shriley Gill of Kilmichael; two
brothers, Ford Nolan of Clarksdale and Sonny Noland of
Carrollton; three sisters, Gladys Mullins and Opal
Cavaliere, both of Carrollton, and Ahlean Miskelley of
Port Gibson; five grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral
home. The Rev. Rob Gill will officiate at the services.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Hargrove, Lee Mattox,
Stanley Mullins, Billy Tate, Larry Minyard and Henry
Burdon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Gill, Gray Gill, Al
Meriwether, Jim Meriwether, Susan Meriwether, Dr. Earl
Fyke, Dr. Henry Flautt and Ern Well Moore.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Carrollton.
