Services for Irene Bentley Myers, 67, of Sidon, who
died of cancer Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Greenwood
Leflore Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, at
Williams and Lord Funeral Home.
Mrs. Myers was a homemaker and had been employed with
Wal-Mart since 1992.
She was born in Butler County, Ala., and had been a
resident of Sidon since 1970. She was a member of
Centerville Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Jones
Business School in Chicago and also attended Baptist
Bible College in Phoenix, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David K.
Myers and a son, Joe Dunn.
She is survived by four daughters, Beverly Mendez of
Greenwood, Susan Gibb of Sidon, Sheila Mitchell of
McCarley and Rebecca Myers of Atlanta; one brother, John
B. Bentley of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Gloria
Bentley of Villa Park, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and
four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at
the funeral home.
The Rev. Maxwell Price and the Rev. Billy Blakely
will officiate at the services. Burial will be in
Centerville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Allen Myers, Clayton Myers, Chris
Goss, Chris Robinson, Greg Mendez, Chris Brady, Shane
Ratliff and Roy Alan Myers.
Honorary pallbearers will be O'Neal Kennedy, John B.
Bentley and Walter Ellis.
Memorials may be made to Centerville Baptist Church.
