Services for Dewey Edward Robertson, 94, of
Greenwood, who died of pulmonary disease Sunday, May 4,
2003, at his residence, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at
Williams & Lord Funeral Home.
Mr. Robertson was born in Carroll County and lived
there 92 years before moving to Greenwood two years ago.
He farmed for 27 years and was a master carpenter for
more than 25 years.
Mr. Robertson was a member of Mount Olive Baptist
Church in Carroll County. His hobby was gardening and
woodcrafting for friends.
Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by his wife,
Monie Lois Robertson.
He is survived by two daughters, Ruth R. Brewer of
Greenwood and Sylvia R. Mims of Black Hawk; two sons,
Edward Franklin Robertson of Anacoca, La., and Roy Glen
Robertson of Black Hawk; two sisters, Ruth Tidwell of
Lexington and Lawrence Beard of Black Hawk; 12
grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 this evening at the
funeral home.
Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Carroll
County.
Dr. Wayne Kimbrough will officiate at the services,
with the Rev. Keith Ramage assisting.
Pallbearers will be Barry Brewer, Keith Brewer, Timmy
Mims, Richie Mims, Chris Robertson, Chad Robertson, Jon
Michael Morgan, Johnny Castle and Jerry Bright.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Sta-Home Hospice
staff.
