Services for Willie Edd
"Tab" Stokes, 94, of Greenwood, who died of heart
failure Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital,
will be at noon Saturday at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist
Church in Black Hawk.
Mr. Stokes was a retired farmer. He was a resident of Golden
Age Nursing Home. He enjoyed fishing. He was a member of
Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Frances Rias of Coila; two sons,
John Edd Stokes of Greenwood and J.W. Stokes of Peoria, Ill.;
two sisters, Mary Fullilove and Ethel Forman, both of
Greenwood; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The Rev. T.C. Collins will officiate at the services.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant M.B. Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Smith, Willie C. Gordon, Lonnie
Love, Charles Blackmon, Jeff Hill and Richard Fluker.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Morning Star M.B.
Church.
Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. Friday at Century
Funeral Home.
