CLEVELAND -- Memorial services for W. Wilson Walker,
84, of Cleveland, who died of heart failure Thursday,
Dec. 7, 2000, at his farm near Vaiden, will be at 2 p.m.
today at First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland.
Mr. Walker was retired from the Department of
Agriculture Soil Conservation Service office. He was a
member and elder of First Presbyterian Church of
Cleveland, a member of Cleveland Masonic Lodge, and an
avid outdoorsman. He was a former resident of Vaiden.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Jones Walker of
Cleveland; three daughters, Faye Arnos of Austin, Texas,
Kay Carpenter of Mandeville, La. and Mandy Mattison of
Roswell, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation was from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday at
Oliver Funeral Home of Winona. Dr. Sidney Harmon will
officiate at the services. Graveside services will be
held at 4:30 p.m. today at Midway Cemetery near Vaiden.
