Query posted November 12, 2003 The name listed in the Evergreen Cemetery as JOHN R. JOHNSON is incorrect. It should read JOHN R. JACKSON. Check the stone. John R. Jackson was a former Miss. state senator, father of Lester Harmon by John's first wife (name unknown); John's 2nd wife was Martha "Mattie" Bryant McCaslin Bryant (b. in Fayette Co. TN). I am Mattie B. Jackson grand nephew. I spent several summers in N. Carrollton in the late 1940''s at Aunt Mattie's home. I have pictures of her at this house.
