Jones
Query posted May 11, 2003
I am looking for a family that would be my husband's g-grandparents. The head of household was Marsh Joe Jones; wife Lucy. I found them in the census in 1880: E.D. 20, Supervisor's dist. 1. Children at that time were Bailey and Blanch. The child I'm looking for is Lydia, born in Sidon, MS June 6, 1888. They could have moved by then. Since there is no 1890 census I'm lost. Are there any resourses I could tap into to find out what happened to them? I know they were in Lexington, Miss when Lydia was married to Luke Samuel Williams and eventually moved to Shreveport, LA, where they raised their family. The mother's name could have been Elizabeth, but on the 1880 census it is Lucy. Her maiden name was Bailey and she was born in Vaiden, MS.
Any information or help appreciated.
Dixie and Benton E. Williams
