David Glen Barton

March 14, 1953 - January 7, 2019

David Glen Barton, 65, residing in Sandusky, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 suddenly at his home.

David was born on March 14, 1953 in Clifftop, WV to the late James and Laura (Gill) Barton.

David graduated from Perkins High School in 1972. He was a semi truck driver and heavy equipment operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed doing yard work and spending time with his family and friends.

David is survived by his daughter, Dawn Barton; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Barton; step-daughter, Sandi Shaffer of Altamont, NC; brothers, James (Mildred) of Castalia, Bill (Beth) and Jeff (Tracy) Barton both of Sandusky; special nephew, Logan Barton and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Fellowship Baptist Church, 4117 Campbell St., Sandusky. Pastor James Gregory will officiate. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
