Elta Louise (Garlock) BeVier

May 25, 1928 ~ December 13, 2018 (

After a long illness, Elta Louise BeVier passed away December 13, 2018 at the age of 90. She was a lifelong resident of Sandusky, Ohio.

Elta had the gift of making others laugh because of her unique wit and sense of humor. She was a caring person, with a great sensitivity toward children and those in need of kindness. Her internal strength was a hallmark of her faith in Jesus Christ. A person who overcame many challenges in her life’s journey, worked very hard, remembered as independent, strong and determined. And she was a wonderful mother to her only child, Linda.

Born May 25, 1928 in Ashland, Ohio to Leota (Gregg) and Abraham Lincoln Garlock, Elta was one of thirteen children. A very close and loving family. Preceding her in death are her parents, her brothers Cliff, Paul, Abe, Roy, Richard and Jim Garlock. Sisters Rose Miller, Mary Walker, Phyllis Eversole, and Naomi Gearheart, her first husband, William J. Higgins, second husband, Delbert BeVier, and her son-in-law, Frank Renwand Jr.

Surviving direct relatives, are; daughter, Linda Higgins Renwand, grandson Randall W. Renwand, great grandchildren Morgan and Cole Renwand, her devoted sister Barbara Eversole, loving brother John Garlock and many nephews and nieces who loved her, too.

It was Elta's wish to be cremated. She is interred at Oakland Cemetery near her beloved Mother and Father, at peace in the arms of her Lord and Savior.

Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
