James Kenneth Corbett, 74, of Huron, passed away unexpectedly at his residence Sunday, April 15, 2018.
He was born June 27, 1943 in Lorain. He has been a resident of Huron since 1976 coming from Amherst. He worked for Ted Cendrosky Builders in Amherst for 15 years. He also worked as a foreman for Moen Inc. for 25 years retiring in 1998 and then worked, doing construction part-time for Lance Warner of Sandusky.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Huron, the Huron Yacht Club, and the Huron Eagles. He was a former Barbershop Quartet Singer, and enjoyed singing.
He is survived by his wife, Ginny Corbett, married to for 53 years; a daughter, Christine (Dale Christopher) Corbett of Fishers, Indiana; a son, Tim (Faira) Corbett of Amherst; four grandchildren, Brittany and Natasha Corbett, and Ethan and Andrew Christopher; two sisters, Lani Hart and Lori Dickson, both of Amherst; and a brother, Gary Wangerien of Wall, NJ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Merle Wangerien and Milda Cendrosky; a step-father, Ted Cendrosky; and guardians, Ken and Alice Corbett.
Friends may call Friday, April 20th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St, Huron. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 21st at 3:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 338 Williams Street, Huron with Rev. Roger Skelley-Watts officiating.
Cremation will take place and burial will be at McMillen Cemetery, Huron.
