David Lee Jagel Sr.

December 30, 1939 - May 11, 2019

David Lee Jagel Sr. 79, residing in Vermilion, Ohio passed away Saturday afternoon, May 11, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Lorain following a brief illness.

He was born on December 30, 1939 in Sandusky, OH to the late William and Beatrice (Kaufman) Jagel.

David was a Sandusky High School Class of 1957 graduate and served in the U.S Army. He retired from the Valley National Gases as territory manager in 2003 after many years of service.

David enjoyed playing golf, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

David is survived by two sons, David (Elizabeth) Jagel Jr. and Lamont Jagel both of Middletown, OH; daughter-in-law, Cindy Jagel of Boardman, OH; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his son, Tracy Jagel in 2018; twin brother in infancy, a sister in infancy and four brothers, Charles, William, Richard and Max Jagel.

Friends may call on Friday May 17, 2019 from 2 PM until 6 PM at the Vermilion American Legion Post 397, 2713 State Rd., Vermilion. Groff Funeral Home and Crematory in Sandusky are handling the arrangements for the family.
