Eddie Sr. was in fellowship with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses attending Saint Clair Congregation in Cleveland, Ohio. He participated in field service, preaching God's word, and attending Assembly Conventions. One of his most favorite Bible quotes was John 3:16. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Eddie Sr. was an entrepreneur who started his business as a window washer, at a young age, in Montgomery Alabama. He was known for taking up all the window washing contracts in downtown Montgomery charging two to five dollars. His business took off from there, and A-OK window cleaning business was established. He relocated his business to Atlanta, Georgia and then landed in Cleveland, Ohio. Eddie Sr. Enjoyed shopping, TALKING, spending time with family members at cookouts, preaching the word of GOD and sharing life lessons to those that would listen. His most famous phrase at the end of each story when you thought he was done was "...and guess what."
Eddie Sr, is survived by his four sons, Eddie (Jawon) Johnson, Jr., Joseph Johnson, Sr, Brian (Norma) Johnson, Marc Johnson, Sr.; grandchildren, Brian Hunley, Joseph Johnson, Jr., Emani Johnson, Mya Johnson, Marquez Johnson, Marc Johnson, Jr., Heaven Johnson, Tomorrow Johnson, Promise Johnson, Ja'various Pennix, Elijah Edwards, Dominique Bohanon, Cortez McGlaughlin; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Kaden, Nico, Kali-Marie, Novielle, Nizir, and Sincere.

Thurman, and John Johnson Jr.; sisters, Johnnie Mae Thorton, Helen Rose Reed, Minnie McConico, Laura , and Catherine. His late wife, Cynthia Kaye Green-Johnson.
Eddie will long be remembered as a loving conversationalist who enjoyed life and people; especially with those of whom he'd never met. A real genuine fella, you'd know it if you ever got a chance to meet him. A Great Father, an even better Grandfather. But, he always believed the greatest joy in life was the connection he had with his great grandchildren. This love was displayed to the very end where he spent his last days surrounded by FAMILY. Representing the final chapter, the last of your siblings, the last of your generation. "Bae bruh" "Mr Johnson" "Granddad" "Unk Eddie" You're forever in our hearts and will truly be missed.
