Dennis M. King, 75, of Sandusky, passed away Wednesday morning, May 22, 2019 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Dennis was born on June 19, 1943 in Sandusky, OH to the late Harry and Juanita (Meyers) King.
Dennis retired from Ohio Edison as a lineman in 1992 after 28 years of service. He was a Vietnam War Veteran who proudly served as a United States Marine. Dennis was a member of the American Legion Post #83, AMVETS Post #17 and a life member of VFW Post #2529 all of Sandusky. He was also a member of the NRA. In his spare time, Dennis enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, hunting, watching old westerns and spending time with his family and friends.
Dennis survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Hoover) King, whom he married on September 30, 1994; daughter, Denise (Carl) Jones-Clonch of Sandusky; 6 sons, Timmy King, Kenny King, Dion (Chy) King of West Union, OH, Dennis King of Manchester, OH, Devin King of Los Angeles, CA and Damon King of Manchester, OH; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Jacque) King of MI and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
In addition to his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by his infant son, Dustin.
Friends may call on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from noon until the time of service at 1 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
Burial will follow with the Marines Forever Honors at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
