Clifford C. Long, 77, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
He was born March 29, 1940 in Cleveland and has been a resident of Huron for many years.
He retired in 1995 after 30 years with Lockheed Aircraft. He enjoyed retirement in his hometown, Huron. A true Patriot and a brilliant mind will be missed dearly.
He was a US Navy Veteran and served during Vietnam.He is survived by his wife, Irene (McGill) Long, married to for 53 years; daughters, Sari Kessel and Terri Steadman, both of New Hampshire, and Christine Turchi of Huron; grandchildren, Shannon (Matt) Shoemaker, Taylor and Cameron Kessel, Rachel Lombardi, Emma Steadman, and Ava Turchi; a great-grandchild, Mackenzie Shoemaker; a sister-in-law, Emily Long; cousin, Stephan DiMaria; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford R. and Sari (DiMaria) Long.
Cremation has taken place and a Family Celebration of Life will be held at his request.
Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, Huron, is assisting the family with arrangements.
