Mary Ellen (Sudsina) Longnecker, 62, of Huron, passed away Thursday evening, October 26, 2017, at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, after a one-year courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 6, 1955 in Augusta, Georgia and lived in Huron most of her life. She graduated from Huron High School in 1973 and attended the University of Cincinnati and graduated from Bowling Green St. University.
She worked for NOMS Health Care, Sandusky, for the past 9 years.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron and was involved with the Youth Group Ministries for past 15 years. She enjoyed scrap booking, arts and crafts, and most of all being around her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Longnecker, of 26 years; her parents, Michael Sudsina of Sandusky, and Eileen Kelly of Huron; her daughter, Alicia ( Dan) Risner of Berlin Heights; four grandchildren, Ben & Taryn Hahn, and Caiden & Jordan Risner; brothers, Michael (Martha) Sudsina of Catawba, and Chris (Nancy) Sudsina of Pittsburgh; brother and sister in law, Dan and Candy Longnecker; nieces and nephews, Stephanie and Todd Spore, Jillian and John Michael Sudsina, Megan and Nicholas Sudsina, Michelle & Shaun McLaughlin, Jay Longnecker, Danielle Hobbs; and 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
She is preceded in death by her son, Andrew "Andy" Guerrero in 1994, and her sister, Kathleen A. Sudsina in 2013.
Friends may call Sunday, Oct 29th from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church Gathering Space, 430 Main Street, Huron, and from 1 p.m. until time of Funeral Mass, 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct 30th, with Rev. Jeffrey McBeth, officiating.
Burial will be at Scott Cemetery, Huron.
