Chad A. Parker, 47, of Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 16, 2019 in Stein Hospice Care Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on November 14, 1971 in Sandusky and was a 1990 graduate of St. Mary’s High School. Accomplished many things, Chad used his skills for self-employment.
To Chad, family was everything. He loved spending time with his wife, Terri, and their son, Kai. Kai was Chad’s whole world. Chad is known for helping people, no matter their need. He loved anything cars, but especially collecting Hot Wheels with Kai and Chevy Corvairs. He loved sushi, fireworks on the 4th of July, and teasing and joking with the people he loved.
Chad is survived by his loving wife, Terri (Clantz) Parker, whom he married on May 31, 1997; beloved son, Kai Parker; mother, Deborah Parker, of Sandusky; father, Stephen (Susan Blakowski) Parker, of Marblehead; sister, Erica Parker, of Sarasota, FL; stepmother, Linda Schaeffer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Art and Emily Scheck; and paternal grandparents, Robert and Delores Parker. Chad’s family would like to express their utmost gratitude to all their family and friends that have helped and supported them through this difficult time. And special thanks to Stein Hospice for their care.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jeffery Walker officiating. Private burial services will take place on Tuesday in Oakland Cemetery. Another opportunity to celebrate Chad’s amazing life, a Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019 in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
