Jacqueline K. Ramsey, 80, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday evening, January 25, 2019 at Stein Hospice Care Center following a brief illness.
She was born on December 22, 1938 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Theodore and Mildred (Welch) Sandersen.
Jackie had enjoyed many wonderful years of retirement from Ohio Edison, where she had been employed as a secretary. During her retirement Jackie volunteered for Meals on Wheels for several years.
Jackie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Huron. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters and brother to Casinos, and taking family trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas and Atlantic City over the years. Jackie enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, doing puzzles, watching tv, sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. Her favorite card game was Pinochle, which was played by her family at every family gathering, party or event.
Jackie is survived by her two sisters, Joyce (Dick) Larson of Strongsville, OH and JoAnne (Alex McLean) Thom of Greenville, SC; one brother, John (Wilma) Sandersen of Sandusky, OH and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Including her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Smith in 1999 and Janice Tibboles in 2009.
Private family services will be held and conducted. Pastor Kristine Schroeder will officiate. Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory in Sandusky are handling the arrangements.
