Mary Magdalena Miller Roegge, When asked how she was doing, until the very end, Mary always answered,"I'm as ornery as ever! " Mary died peacefully Saturday morning, April 6th, 2019 in Stein Hospice.

Mary was born November 3,1925 to William and Isabella (Link) Diebold. She was born and raised in Sandusky. She married Paul Henry Miller in 1945. They started with nothing, but through hard work and determination, they created Milridge Farms in Castalia. They restored and renovated the 1860 farmhouse; Mary always had a project, and took great pride in their home.

Mary was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. After Paul's death in 1985, she married Charles Bates Roegge in 1990. Paul and Mary had three children, Todd C. Miller of Castalia, Susan (deceased), and Christine Miller Hamilton of Castalia. Four grandchildren, Tricia (Kent) Purvis, Ryan (Lindsay) Miller, Sarah Hamilton, and Rachal (Benjamin) Paul and seven great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by Sharon Miller and sisters-in-law: Jean Miller, Shirley Miller, Dora Myers and Joan Deering, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by Paul H. Miller, Charles B. Roegge, Susan M. Miller, a brother, Warren Diebold, and in-laws: Elmer and Bernice Miller, Lee and Ilo Miller, Carl and Dorothy Miller, Quentin Miller, August and Arlene Miller, John Miller, Esther and Arthur Behnke, Wayne Myers, and George Deering.

According to Mary's wishes a private family service will take place on Monday, April 8th, with the Rev. Paul D. Young presiding.

Internment will follow in the Castalia Cemetery. Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
