Rodger A. Wikel, 90, of Huron, passed away unexpectedly at Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, Sunday, Dec 10, 2017.
He was born October 16, 1927 in Sandusky, to the late Minnie (Hahn) and Henry Wikel.
He attended school in Berlin Heights and was an area farmer for many years. He also worked at Shinrock Elevator and Schlessman Seed Company also in the area.
Rodger and his wife Jean (Shupe) Wikel were married on March 21, 1950. They loved to travel and go camping, visiting 25 states. He loved picnics with his family, including his wife, three daughters, Carolyn Butler of Sandusky, Debbie (Mike) Sartor Berlin Heights, Pamela Wikel (fiancè Ray Thom) of Sandusky; two sons, Ted (Debbie) Wikel and Tim (Darlene) Wikel both of Huron; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his three step-sisters, and one step-brother.
A private family service will be held at Foster Funeral Home, Huron.
