Burrell Brown Family Graveyard Located on Gilmer Lane in Lamar County, Alabama Number 154 on the new cemetery map of Lamar County. Driving directions from Blooming Grove: Take County Road 57 (Providence Road) east to Corinth Cemetery Road. Just past Old Corinth Cemetery take the left fork onto Forest Lane, then left on Gilmer Lane. The graveyard is marked by a sign at the road, and is in a field a few yards away.
Surveyed by Bo Morris and Paul Hays, December 31, 2004.
No legible individual markers remain in this graveyard. There are four apparent graves marked by fieldstones, and perhaps two others, in the middle of which is a relatively new granite marker with the inscription:
Burrell Brown and Family 1775 – 1875
There is no other information available in the graveyard, which is situated in the midst of an actively cultivated cornfield. |
