Old Macedonia/Sprouse Cemetery (#189 on the Lamar County, AL Cemetery Map) --Submitted by Bob Kelly, 12/15/2003 <bkelly66@bellsouth.net > Located approximately 4 miles west of Ala Hwy 17 just north of Steedly Road in the Mud Creek area. It is located near the southwestern corner of property patented by William Wilson (Mud Creek Bill), which was the SW1/4 of NW1/4 of Section 32, T16S, R15W. Adjacent to property patented by Jeptha Seay in the adjoining Section 31. There are 10 gravestones, only 8 of which are now readable. There are numerous unmarked graves as well as graves marked with native stones. Much of the cemetery is grown up in trees and brush. The area with the grave markers has been kept clear of trees.
