Wells Family Cemetery

Wells Family Cemetery Of Turkey Creek,  Sulligent,
Lamar County Alabama
Compiled and submitted by Joyce Reese McCollum

This family burial plot is located on the Lamar County Map Township 14 South Range 16 west just southeast of Sulligent Lake.   It is accessed off Buck Jackson Road.

It is the burial place of 'Doug "Bud" Wells his descendants and relatives.

I compiled this list in May of 2003 and will give accurate dates of birth from census records if available.   Many of the tombstone inscriptions are inaccurate.   Minnie Kidd Wells has a date of birth of DEC 25, 1889 and her eldest daughter Rozina Wells Johnson has a date of birth of May 5, 1891.   I am using the dates of birth for the children and of Bud and Minnie as enumerated on the 1910 and 1920 census for Lamar County.   For those without dates of birth and death I am using SSDI or Lamar County records.   The dates I supply will be in parenthesizes.  See the family group sheets for Harriet Hollis, Doug Wells and Bud Wells at the NW Alabama website for more details.
