1870 Sanford/Lamar Census Index

The following Surname Index, with links to the 1870 census images, was quite a chore to prepare because of the mistakes made in either microfilming the images out of order, or their being scanned out of order by SK Publications.  Regardless, I have provided links to the images, and did not attempt to determine the "real" page numbers.

The names are very hard to read in a lot of cases and I tried my best to accurately transcribe them; however, if you find any corrections that should be made, please let me know and I'll check them out!  Thanks & enjoy!  Allison, webmaster

6/20/2005 Note:  This census image has now disappeared.  http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/al/sanford/census/1870/0286B.gif  Does anyone know what happened to it or where I can get a new link?  The page did exist when I prepared this index!  Thanks!
