Macedonia
Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church
Established August 1823
Sulligent, Alabama

At the time of establishment, this church  was in the area known as Marion Co., which is now located in the town of Sulligent. Sulligent was not a town at the time (not until 1887), but this area was included in what was later called Moscow (est. 1832). Today this church stands in the southwestern part of the town of Sulligent, on the Wolfe Rd. (est. 1804). It still exists on the original property purchased in 1823 from Mr. Benson, a church member. (This information given by Mack "Bo" Morris, Jr., P.O. Box 414, Sulligent, AL 35586, Phone 205-698-8090)

The following record is taken from a copy of the original church ledger, still in existence, and in the possession of Lamar Pitts, of the Shakerag Community, near Sulligent.
