Arnold Deed submitted by Bob Kelly 7/1/02 ASBURY ARNOLD’S DEED TO ASBURY CHURCH (Filed the 20th of June 1864 to which the following is a true copy to wit) This indenture made the 26th of March in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and sixty-four between Asbury Arnold of the first part and the trustees of Asbury Church of the Second part witnesseth that the said party of the first part as a donation has given the following described land to wit: Commencing at the NE corner of said lot one chain East of The ¼ stake on Said S 1/e of SE 1/4 and running South eight chains 75 links to Second Stake then West 5 degrees 4 chains & 75 links to the 3rd corner then North Eight chains & 75 links to the 4th corner then East 5 degrees 4 chains 75 links to the beginning containing four acres & 15/100 of an acre section 28 Township 16 Range 16, Together with all and singular the tenements and apertences thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and also all the Estate Right title interest claims or demand whatever of the Said Asbury Arnold the Said party of the first part either in law Or equity of in and to the above donated premises and every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the said Party of the Second Part their heirs and assigns to the whole and only for proper use Benefit and behalf of the said party of the Second part their Heirs and assigns forever and the said party of the first part For his heirs executors and administrators do hereby warrant And will forever defend the title of the above donated premises To the Said trustees their heirs and assigns from the claim Or claims of all and every person or persons whomsoever and also The claims of the general government. In testimony whereof the aforesaid party of the first part hath Hereunto Set their hand and append their seal the day and year As are written.
