Miller, Jefferson D. (Mr. & Mrs.)

The couple in this photo has been identified as Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson
D. Miller (b. about 1862, Sanford/Lamar County; d. Dec 1926, Lamar
County).  He was the son of John E. Miller and Charlottie Ursery of
Lamar County, Alabama.  She was Nancy A. Collins (b. about 1872, AL).
They were married 18 Aug 1887 and had the following children:  Troy E.
Miller (b. about 1903; married Katie UNKNOWN; son, Carroll Miller, b.
about 1926); Goyla May Miller (b. about 1905); Loyd E. Miller (b.about
1907; married Vivian UNKNOWN abt. 1926); Margaret Adell Miller (b. about
1912).  If anyone has a connection to either person in this photo,

Miller, Joe (Mr. and Mrs)

The man in this photo has been identified as Joseph Miller (b. about
1857, Sanford/Lamar County), son of John E. Miller and Charlottie Ursery
of Lamar County, Alabama.  We have been unable to verifiy the identify
of his wife, but it could be Amelia Pierce.  If anyone has a connection
to either person in this photo, please contact Debbie Taff at

9/8/2003 Update:  The couple in this photo has been identified as Joseph E. Miller (b. 21 May 1854, Sanford/Lamar County; d. 21 Sep 1917, Woodruff County, AR), and Sarah Elizabeth Smith Miller (b. 22 Nov 1847, AL; d. 5 Sep1940, AR).
 He was the son of John E. Miller and Charlottie Ussery of Lamar County,
Alabama.  She was the daughter of Francis and Nancy Smith of Fayette
County, AL.   Joe and Sarah had the following children:  J. Edgar Miller
(b. 7 Jul 1880, MS; d. 28 Nov 1955, AR); Dayton Miller (b. 26 Sep 1885,
MS; d. 2 Jan 1974, AR); Sam Miller (b. 25 Sep 1887, MS; d. 25 Apr 1974,
AR); Lottie V. Miller (b.26 Jun 1892, MS; d. 13 Jan 1977, AR).   If
anyone has a connection to this family, please contact Debbie Taff at
