Davis, James W.:  We would like to know about our gggrandparents, JAMES W.  and  ELVIRA MARY (WOOD) DAVIS, plus two of their children.  JAMES W. DAVIS and MARY with their family settled on land in Sections 26 and 35, Township 12 South, Range 15 West (originally in Marion County but now in Lamar County) in 1854.  Their Land Grant applications and deeds range in date from 1854 to 1857, which is the last date we have anything on JAMES W. The last record we have of MARY is on the 1860 Sanford County census. Their known children were:

SARAH DAVIS - b. about 1837, GA.; ZELPHIA ANGELINE DAVIS -  b. December 18, 1839, GA., m. (1) John M. CUSTER (2) Robert D. LEWIS;
WILLIAM M. "Buck" DAVIS - b. September, 1841, GA., m. Hester Jane NOE;
ELIZA DAVIS - b. about  1845, GA.; JAMES DAVIS - b. about 1847, AL., believed to have married DORINDA BROWN; GABRIELLA "Ellen" DAVIS - b. about 1849, AL., m. James M. MAXEY; OPHELIA F. DAVIS - b. November 16, 1851, AL., m. John Calloway Monroe MAXEY

We would like to learn when JAMES W. died; what happened to MARY after 1860 -- did she remarry, did she live with one of children or someone else, when did she die?  Did SARAH and ELIZA marry in Marion or Lamar County; if so, who did they marry?  Appreciate any lead someone may have.
