Queries

Edney, Millard:  Looking for the burial place of Millard EDNEY, b. 1856, d. 8 May 1877; John N. EDNEY, b. 20 Oct. 1832, d. 8 Mar. 1896, and Louvenia C. EDNEY, b. 16 Aug. 1837, d. 7 Feb. 1916.  I 'think' that John and Louvenia were Millard's parents.  Possibly buried in Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery, near Fernback, Lamar Co., AL.  Millard died in Birmingham, Jefferson Co., AL. but is not buried with his wife, Martha Virginia 'Jennie' LAVENDER.  Can anyone help me in my search?  Contact:  Kay Music lmusic1@bellsouth.net (lower case 'L', music, # one)

Estes, Julius:  I am searching for information on Julius Estes and his wife Ellen or Samantha who were living in Lamar County according to the 1930 Census.  They had a daughter Ruby Elvie or Ellen Estes that was my husbands grandmother.  She married Emory Lee Roger and they lived in TN where she died young.  Julius and Ellen/Samantha had three children Ruby, Birdie or Bud and Irma Estes.  I'm looking for birth, marriage, death, children, land ownership, bible records, etc. for any of these people.  I particularly want to figure out whether Ellen and Samantha are the same person or two different wives.  Whether Rubies siblings had families and where they might be.  Who the parents of Julius and his wife were and just about any other tidbit you can think of.  I appreciate any help anyone can provide.  Sincerely, Heather Elliott-Kirsch Ken4heidi@msn.com 3/22/03
