Lewis, John Y.:  My Lamar County brick wall concerns my gg grandfather John Y. Lewis. Census reports have listed him born in Kentucky and also Tennessee in 1812. I know that he was in Alabama by 1837 married to Jane Unknown, possibly Keown the daughter of Thomas Keown. Their oldest son was my great grandfather Robert Dowling Lewis. I believe that John Y. Lewis is the brother of two other Lamar County men, Gideon Lewis born 1819 and Martin M. Lewis born 1817, but I haven't found proof as yet. I would love to share information with anyone connected to these men. Thanks!  Contact:  Tracie Simon tracsimon@home.com

Lewis, William BenjaminI am researching one of the main Lamar Co. Al. Lewis families. I am researching the William Benjamin and Effie Jean Tunnell, Lewis family.  Does ANYONE have any idea where these peoples parents are buried.  I
have a section of Great Grandma Lewis's family back through the Kings and Queens of England. BUT, I do not have very many specific details on, Great Grandma
Lewis's family or on Great Grandpa Lewis Grandparents. (Who are supposed to have been Archibald and Rhoda Styron, Lewis.) Sonny Lewis ITraceUrs@aol.com 4/30/02
