Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery (the book 125th Anniversary Rushford Lutheran Church includes this excerpt from the History of Fillmore County - 1882: "This is located on 15. Mr. S.T. Gjernes gave the land to the church in the early 1860's, with the understanding that the remains at the other cemetery should be removed, but few were ever changed. There must have been upwards of two hundred burials here, among them Dr. P.E. Kirkland, a young man of great promise. The remains of Mrs. Swan Werlein were the first to be laid here in 1860 or 1861.")

Rushford Lutheran - 1 mile west of Rushford on Hwy 30 (from the book 125th Anniversary Rushford Lutheran Church, published in 1981: "The cemetery of the Lutheran Church is located one mile west of Rushford on Highway 30. The land was given by Styrk Gjernes and Ole Berland, each about one acre. Though these cemeteries were separate the land adjoined. Later on, after the Trinity Church dissolved and the members joined Rushford Lutheran, the two were made into one larger cemetery. As the congregation grew, more land was given and some bought to add to the present cemetery.") (Additional land was purchased in 1968 from James Hoff)
