The sad news reached this city today, Friday, announcing that Dr.
John W. Lenfest has passed to the Great Beyond at the home of his
parents at Anoka, Minn., at about 5 o'clock. The doctor has been in ill
health for a year or more, and none but intimate friends realized the
seriousness of his condition, hence it came as a surprise to his many
friends thruout the county when he was taken away a couple of weeks ago
to the cities for treatment after a week's illness from a severe form of
stomach trouble. From the cities he was taken to the home of his parents
at Anoka, where he passed away.
Dr. Lenfest was one of our foremost
physicians and will be greatly missed from his large field of practice
in the Ambrose country, and deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved
wife. Dr. Lenfest had been a practicing physician for over 12 years,
residing in Bowbells before coming to this city several years ago. He
was 38 years of age, and besides his wife, leaves a father, stepmother,
two sisters and a brother. He was a member of the A. F. & A. M., having
attained the degree of Shriner. – Ambrose Tribune.
