Location: SE ¼ S18 T155N 84W
Directions: 2 ½ miles east of Des Lacs, on County Rd 10, and ½ mile south.
The road going south to the cemetery is a trail that is passable in dry weather.
The cemetery is a few hundred feet south of the Burlington Northern Railroad
Tracks. There are some large clumps of lilac bushes and the grass is high. A
number of graves have been removed and open holes left; also animals have dug
holes, so extreme care must be taken while walking in this cemetery.
It
is reported that the area of this cemetery is the original site of the town of
Des Lacs. After a fire destroyed the town, a new site was platted were the
present city of Des Lacs is now located (in Des Lacs Township).
