John Babukas, 60,
cook at the American Café for the past 20 years, died of an unexpected heart
attack last evening while busy at work during the supper hour. Apparently he had
been in his customary health until that time.
A native of Kastanea,
Greece, Mr. Babukas was born, January 7, 1891. He was unmarried and is survived
by three nephews, in United States, Steven Babukas of Minot, another nephew in
Chicago, and one in Lowell, Mass.
Funeral services which will be held in
the Greek Orthodox church have been tentatively set for Saturday, pending word
from the nephews.
Finnegan-Hurd funeral home is in charge of
arrangements.

Funeral services for John Babukas, 60, cook at the American Café for the past 20 years, who died Wednesday, will be held Monday. Rev. Michael Makredes will officiate in the Greek Orthodox Church at 2 p.m.
Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, the following serving as pallbearers: George Brayhos, Alex Pedas, Harry Andros, George Maragos, Andrew Papas and James Callas.
