Thomas Babukas, 53 712-11th St.
NW, proprietor of the First National Shoe Shining Parlor – died in a Minot
hospital Sunday. He had been a patient there for 5 days.
Services will be
held at St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. John
Vuvunas officiating. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery.
Mr. Babukas
was born in Greece in 1890 and came to the United States in 1908, settling in
Massachusetts, and later moving to St. Paul. He came to Minot in 1924.
He
was a member of the Eagle Lodge and of St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church.
Survivors include a son, Steve 15 of Minot and a brother John also of Minot.
There is one sister living in Greece.
The Finnegan Funeral Home has
charge of the arrangements.
