Mrs. Dorothy Marion Jefferson, 59, Makoti, died Saturday. Funeral Wednesday at 1 Hope Lutheran Church at Makoti. Spring Valley Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Plaza.

Born Dorothy Smith Aug. 4, 1914, at Devils Lake. Attended Minot State College and the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. Married Rufus Jefferson July 22, 1936, at Minot. They operated a hardware store at Makoti. He died Jan. 14, 1969. Member of Hope Lutheran Church, the church ladies aid, American Legion Auxiliary, Beta Theta Sorority at MSC and Gamma Phi Beta Sorority at UND.

Survivors: a son, Robert, Las Vegas, Nev.; Two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Les (Jeanne) Wyman, Westhope; and a brother, Gordon Smith, Makoti.

Friends call at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in Minot until 8:30 tonight, Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
