YOUNG, Earl and brother Archie F. I am looking for some help and or assistance with finding info on Earl YOUNG and his brother Archie F. YOUNG. They were born June 1875 and Nov. 1878 respectively. They're parents were William and Ellen (HARRISON) YOUNG. The brothers came to Williston, N.D. from Schoolcraft, Michigan. I have information stating Earl YOUNG had been killed in a barn fire at Mrs. Hattie Henderson Farm. If anyone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. SHANKS, John Fabian I am searching for information on (John) Frank Shank's family. I am told he had a son named Guy Shanks, who married a woman named Claudia Torcotte. They had several children (twelve sons), one being my step-father John Fabian Shanks ( b.1920's). I am told they homesteaded 160 acres in Judson township, Williams County. (North Dakota records also indicate this in 1906, with a change in "use of occupancy/indian patent in 1928.) I am interested tracing the Shank's genealogy for my step-father. PADDON, Stephen and Anna Mae (Allen) I am interested in finding out any information on my grandfather, Stephen Paddon, who moved to Ray, ND with his wife, Anna Mae Allen, in the early 1900s from Chicago. He owned a ranch in Ray, ND with a cousin, Fred Fortier, where they raised horses. My father, Stephen Paddon, Jr., was born on that ranch. HEGG, Rev Gustav and Maybelle Lydia (LARSEN) My grandfather, Gustav HEGG, first traveled to Williams County, North Dakota in 1908 as a Preacher of the Norwegian Lutheran Church. He was 29 and single. His first post office address was Manger, ND. In 1910 he returned to St. Paul, MN to marry my grandmother, Maybelle Lydia LARSEN, a girl of just 21. They returned to ND and made their first home at Bonetrail, ND. In 1912 Rev. and Mrs. Hegg relocated to Wildrose, ND. They remained in Wildrose until 1922 when he received a call from Columbus, Divide Co., ND. I have records that indicate that Rev. HEGG served the following congregations: CHURCHES Bonetrail, ND: West Writing Rock & Coalridge, Montana, St. Olaf Lutheran Church (Grenora Twp), Redeemers English Lutheran Church of Gladys (Good Luck Twp), St. Lukes Congregation (Hebron Twp) Mission work: northwest ND and NE Montana: Plentywood & Scobey Wildrose: Wildrose, Stordahl Synod Lutheran (Big Meadow Twp), Skabo and Cottonwood Lake & Zion, The Synod Lutheran Church (Rock Island Twp) I would be very interested to learn if any one might have information about him, his family, or the churches they served. You see, my grandfather died in 1937 in Nome, Barnes Co., ND and grandmother in 1968 when I was very young. I never knew him and only knew her briefly. SCHAFER, Richard I am looking for any information about Richard SCHAFER, barber of Wildrose, ND or his wife Minnie Heller SCHAFER. They apparently lived in Wildrose from shortly after their marriage (sometime before 1905) til their deaths in Spring of 1943. They are my paternal grandparents. OSMAN, Samuel I am seeking information on Samuel Osman b. 4/14/1815 in Lykens Twp. Dauphin Co., PA., died 6/13/1891 in Dakota City, Neb. Samuel was the blacksmith (as civilian or in military) at Fort Buford in the 1870's. His wife Eliza was "post mistress"(?) until 1876.
